Meet our Interns from EJC

Tr. Jessica Chen
Standard 6 Intern
My name is Jessica Chen, and I am currently an intern at Zion SDA Primary School. I am passionate about inspiring young minds and fostering a positive learning environment. Dedicated to personal growth, embracing new challenges, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of students.
“By learning you will teach; by teaching you will learn”

Tr. Nisha Mejia
Standard 2 Intern
My name is Nisha Mejia, and I am an educator who teaches with passion, purpose, and heart. Teaching, for me, is far more than a profession—it is a calling that allows me to inspire curiosity, shape character, and nurture the potential within every child. My favorite quote by Nelson Mandela, ‘It always seems impossible until it’s done,’ is my guiding light in the classroom. It reminds me that even the greatest challenges can be overcome with dedication, creativity, and belief in my students. I see each child’s unique gifts, and I strive to spark a love for learning that goes beyond textbooks and tests. My teaching is rooted in compassion, resilience, and the belief that education transforms lives—not just by imparting knowledge, but by inspiring confidence and hope.
As a teacher, I am committed to being a lifelong learner, continually growing alongside my students. I aim to leave a lasting impact, not just by what I teach, but by how I make my students feel—capable, confident, and inspired to achieve the ‘impossible.’”
